It was 2006, long before the idea of ​​the VR46 Riders Academy was born.

The personality of the young Marco Simoncelli leads Valentino to consider opening the doors of his daily life to him, sharing his knowledge as a rider for the first time, and making his personal staff's expertise available to him.

It was a natural, selfless gesture, without any structure, driven purely by a sense of sharing and by Marco's 'crazy and special' charisma, which came before any rational reason, beyond results and victories, which would eventually come one after another.

Every project has a moment when the idea takes shape and becomes concrete.

It's 2013, and Franco Morbidelli, who is already training with Valentino, is ready to make the leap to Moto2.

This event opens up a new perspective; Vale clears all doubts, supports Franco's choice, and officially establishes the VR46 Riders Academy.

The project becomes more and more real, and Valentino assembles a complete team with his coach Carlo and lifelong friends Uccio and Albi, who come together to solidify the project.

In the first 10 years, several riders were selected, with a clear goal: to bring them up to MotoGP.

Only a few riders will officially enter the Academy, which consists of 6 great riders today. These young men have grown up in the VR46 world, chosen for their ability to adapt to a daily work method with rigorous and constantly evolving training protocols.

10 years of results speak volumes: Franco and Pecco won the World Championship in Moto2, Pecco became the first Academy rider to become MotoGP World Champion. These titles are joined by the 'Rookie of the Year' trophy for Pecco, Franco, Cele, and Bez, along with the excellent results achieved by Maro ed Mig.
